Zach was raised in Grande Prairie and his musical career started in earnest with his high school jazz ensemble. Thanks to the encouragement of his music teacher, Zach moved to Edmonton and graduated from Grant McEwan University with a Bachelor of Music (in jazz and contemporary popular music) with a major in composition. Following in the footsteps of his teachers; Zach has made a career of teaching music including 10 years at Caesar's School of Music in Edmonton. As a multi-instrumentalist, he teaches guitar, bass, ukulele, banjo, and mandolin. Zach also frequently performs with various groups including his stint as the bass player for the River City Playboys. He was also a valuable member of the house band for the RiverCity Bluegrass festival in January.
Join Zack for some tips and tricks including guitar solos made easy. Learn some common fills and licks that can be used in a pinch to enhance your guitar chops.
If you want to take more lessons with Zach, you can speak to him after the workshop or contact him at Caeser’s School of Music.
