The Northern Bluegrass Circle Music Society is located on Treaty Six Territory, the traditional gathering place for many Indigenous peoples. We honor and respect the history, language, ceremonies, and culture of the First Nations, Metis, and Inuit that call this territory home and are reminded that we are all treaty people.

About the NBCMS

NBCMS Logo

The Northern Bluegrass Circle Music Society (NBCMS) is a jamming club and a safe place where like minded people can gather and play music.

We’re a non-profit music society run by volunteers for our members and the general public, and our focus is bluegrass music. The NBCMS is an active club, and because our membership is involved and actively volunteer, they help keep our club fresh and relevant.

The NBCMS Mission Statement:
Promote, Present and Preserve Bluegrass Music

We fulfill our mission statement by hosting a weekly jam every Wednesday night from 6:30 to 10:00 PM at the Pleasantview Community Hall , 10860-57 Avenue in Edmonton. The NBCMS also presents various concerts, a fall workshop camp, a winter jam camp, and other events throughout the year.

Besides funding through membership fees, we also receive funding from The Alberta Foundation for the Arts, Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission and your generous donations.
