RiverCity Bluegrass Festival - Bix Mix Boys

thebixmixboys.ca

The Bix Mix Boys have been members of the Alberta bluegrass scene for twenty years and we are pleased to present them at the first ever RiverCity Bluegrass festival. The Bix Mix Boys have for years focused on producing the highest quality of music possible, both vocally and instrumentally. While keeping the traditions of bluegrass alive, they present a unique, Canadian interpretation of the music, and have entertained audiences in a variety of venues including this past summer’s Edmonton Fringe Festival.

The Bix Mix Boys demonstrate their abilities as a top-flight Alberta bluegrass band. As personable as they are talented, their mix of original material and lively covers has pleased audiences wherever they have played. Darcy Whiteside is the host of CKUA’s The Bluegrass Hour while he and Jim Storey are vital leaders of Northern Bluegrass Circle’s monthly Bluegrass 101.

The Bix Mix Boys are Darcy Whiteside (banjo), Logan Sarchfield (guitar), Terry Nadasdi (mandolin), and Jim Storey (bass) with everyone singing.
